Here we are!

Hey everyone!  My name is Jessica Kaplin and my Fiances name is Joe Hirst.  Here is a picture of us from two years ago.  It's one of my favorites!  Joe proposed Christmas morning '07.  I'll tell that story later, but for now just saying hi!

This is me and my honey Joe!  This was right after I gave a speech at my sisters wedding.  It was great and EVERYONE was in tears!  We have been waiting to plan our wedding until she had hers.  She was waiting over 10 YEARS!!!  So I figured she could go first!  

I have been waiting to plan my wedding until after my sisters, and then I was all ready to get going. Unfortunately my sister recently found out that she has breast cancer. This has put a slight delay on the planning. It is hard to think about wedding stuff right now. Aly is my big sister, and is only 28, and she just got married. The whole situation does not seem fair, but I understand that there are people all over the world dealing with different hardships. We are just taking one day at a time and moving along in the process. And so far we have had some of the best news!

On a more positive note, I have s-l-o-w-l-y begun to look at dresses. This part of the planning is really exciting! I sent an email over to my sister who is my maid of honor. Because of course I need to have her opinion! I will probably go dress shopping with my little sisters, my big sis, and my mom. Picking out a dress really makes me want to get married. Because you can start to picture yourself walking down the isle and dancing with your man in your beautiful dress!

INTRODUCING MR. AND MRS. LAIER!!! WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED ALMOST A MONTH AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! THE DAY WAS AMAZING... LIKE A FAIRTALE! EVERYTHING WAS A BLUR EXCEPT I REMEMBER EVERY LAST SECOND LIKE IT WAS IN SLOW MOTION DURING OUR VOWS.. WE RECITED OUR OWN VOWS TO EACHOTHER AND IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING MOMENT! I HAVE ONT RECEIVED ALL THE PICTURES FROM OUR PHOTOGRAPHER YET.. I AM SO ANXIOUS TO SEE! I WILL POST MORE AS SOON AS I GET THEM! I HAVE HONEYMOON PICTURES AS WELL :) BEING MARRIED IS AMAZING :) I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!

We are using fortune cookies for our wedding favors. We founf them on the chicblvd website! They sent us some samples and we love them. Not only are they pretty but they taste yummy too! We had the choice of a generic quote to be put in the fortune cookies or write our own thing. We chose to do our own. What a fun, unique idea! They have huge, jumbo ones too!!!
